What's The Business Picture

Hialeah is a large city, numbering well over 200,000 people in the heart of Dade County, Florida. That population is one of the most demographically vibrant to be found in the lower United States; in fact, over 90% of the population speaks Spanish as their first language! The city has the second highest Cuban population in the nation, as well as significant Latino and Hispanic populations from other nations. From a business perspective, this means that Hialeah is a place where a company can locate and not expect to have to supply every employee with gold standard pensions and TREO leather pouches for all their daily needs.

The demographic makeup of this city has also meant a diversified business picture, which ranges from major industries right down to businesses which operate on a chain and local level. Hialeah's advantageous position as far as transportation make it an ideal spot to locate an industry which has taken advantage even of the R & D tax credit Canada offers; putting that newly acquired knowledge to work with maximum returns is, after all, the goal of research in the first place! Hialeah has access to every major highway and thoroughfare in the Dade county area, which accounts for one of its slogans, "all ways lead to Hialeah!"

On the national scale, several industries base their manufacturing and headquarters operations in Hialeah. All of these businesses take advantage of the willing labor force and the easy transportation access which Hialeah offers. In fact, it has been said that these two factors are the dream of any commercial mortgage broker, as it is easy to find suitable land and space on which to locate a successful business.

Several industries in Hialeah are worth mentioning as far as the gold mutual fund standard in local businesses. Amongst them is Taurus International Manufacturing, a company which constructs firearms for the world market. Air Guide Manufacturing puts together grills and intakes for the heating and cooling industry and has offices all over the United States, while Molds Unlimited specializes in a variety of metal implements and casts.

On the chain level, Hialeah includes businesses such as Costco and Lowe's. These wholesale and retail mega stores may have executives living in Liberty Towers and other, more northern, locations, but Hialeah residents can still greatly benefit from their presences, both as employers and as suppliers.

Finally, you can expect to find many locally targeted businesses within Hialeah city limits. Storage facilities, construction companies, and others all make a healthy profit on the happenings of the city.

It's also worth mentioning that the high tech and entertainment industries have a presence in Hialeah. Most notably, the high percentage of Spanish speakers has made the city the ideal location for Telemundo, the second largest Spanish speaking television broadcaster in the country.
